Itanhandu - Minas Gerais


Itanhandu is a municipality located near São Lourenço, Minas Gerais state. It's foundation was in September 7, 1923. At 2006, the city had about 14.129 habitants. It's a very calm and peaceful place, where you can find good people, nice places, old beautiful houses and "fuscas" (the name that brazilians give to the old beetle VW). If you come to Minas Gerais, don't forget Itanhandu!

Passa Quatro - Minas Gerais

Similar and near to Itanhandu , Passa Quatro is a small town. The city is known by it's hydrothermal resources and it's an ecotourism region. The main attractions are the mountains, waterfalls, farms, fishing activities. There's an important tourist program, the ride on the "Serra da Mantiqueira" steam train (trem da Serra da Mantiqueira or Maria Fumaça, as they call it). Other interesting things you can find in Passa Quatro are, for example, the old mansions, "Casa da Cultura", the "Biblioteca Municipal", the museum "Brasil Nota 10" and the "Casa do Artesão" There are also many other nice things you will certainly find if you come to Passa Quatro!
